bored和boring都是形容詞，不同之處是bored是指使人感到厭煩的，boring是指事情本身是無趣的，當形容人的感受時候用bored，形容事物用boring。有相同用法的還有interested和interesting。

bored的用法

（1）She was bored with the deadening routine of her life.

她厭倦了自己生活令人窒息的一成不變。

（2）He moped around the office for a while, feeling bored.

他在辦公室閑蕩了一會兒，感到百無聊賴。

（3）Dickie bored him all through the meal with stories of the Navy.

迪基吃飯時一直在講海軍的故事，讓他不勝其煩。

（4）I dropped out of high school. It bored me to death.

我從中學退學了，那種學校生活令我煩得要死。

（5） The boys were getting bored.

男孩子們開始感到厭煩。

boring的用法

（1）At work, he was chained to a system of boring meetings.

上班時，他淹沒在枯燥乏味的會海中。

（2） Poems which had seemed dull and boring suddenly came to life.

原本顯得沉悶枯燥的詩歌突然有了生氣。

（3）A lot of the work was very dry and boring in Westminster.

威斯敏斯特的許多工作非常枯燥無味令人厭煩。

（4）The town is boring and characterless.

這個小鎮枯燥乏味，毫無特色。

（5）Her novels are middle-aged and boring.

她的小說刻板乏味。
